Terry is currently a North Hertfordshire District Councillor for the Chesfield Ward and a Great Ashby Community Councillor. He has lived in Great Ashby for over 15 years.

He is passionate about the opportunity to represent your views and concerns. He works closely with the highly respected and experienced Steve Jarvis and Paul Clark, both are currently NHDC councillors.

He will be standing for election for Hertfordshire County Council – Knebworth & Codicote Division on 6th May 2021.

Message from Terry: Manifesto and Communication Commitments

Hi, as well as being a District Councillor for Chesfield (re-standing 6th May 2021)  and a Great Ashby Community Councillor, I will be re-standing as a County Councillor candidate for Knebworth and Codicote Division on 6th May 2021.

I am passionate about my duties for NHDC Chesfield Ward, to which I was elected on 5th May 2016. I am promoting/fighting for pleasant, fairer and practical communities within Great Ashby, Little Wymondley, Great Wymondley, Graveley, Jacks Hill, Todds Green, Redcoats Green and of course Chesfield hamlet. I will pursue a balanced and pragmatic way respecting the important issues of the day.

 I am actively campaigning, in the Chesfield Ward, to:

  • Retain the Green Belt
  • Local Plan: A Fair, Reasonable and Sustainable Number of New Homes
  • An Increase Primary and Secondary School Places
  • Safety of School Children at Busy Road Crossings
  • Fight to Retain or Reinstate a Reliable and Frequent Bus Services
  • Secure a Local Health Centre Facilities
  • Tackle the Growing Litter Issue
  • Within Great Ashby a Long Overdue Family Public House
  • Lorry Turning Issue in Little Wymondley
  • Traffic Issues through Great Wymondley
  • Support and Promote Youth Clubs and Youth Activities
  • Protection and Maintenance of our public bridleway and footpath network
  • Include Tilekiln and Parsonsgreen Woods within the Managed Walkways in Great Ashby
  • Work and Coordinate with Stevenage Borough Council
  • Limit where necessary Houses of Multiple Occupancy by promoting NHDC to invoke Article 4 Direction

Surgeries

I will be holding a monthly surgery for Great Ashby, Little Wymondley, Great Wymondley, Graveley, Todds Green, Redcoats Green and Jacks Hill, to introduce myself and ask about your concerns and views. Details will be announced soon.

Hertfordshire County Council – Knebworth & Codicote Division – 4th May 2017 Campaign Diary

In November 2016, Knebworth will receive a Liberal Democrat Focus publication, which will highlight local concerns and also give an opportunity to complete a County Services Survey.
