Great Ashby Playgrounds – Request for Views
NHDC have set plans to reduce the number of fully equipped Great Ashby playgrounds from 8 to 4. As it stands NHDC will removed in 2018 the play equipment but retain these areas as green space. The four playgrounds targeted for reversion to green space are Merrick Close, Cleveland Way, Chilterns and Fairfield Crescent. As a district councillor for Great Ashby, I would be keen to ascertain residents views regarding these playgrounds. Please email terry.tyler@north-herts.gov.uk

Terry Tyler announces that he will stand as the Liberal Democrat Candidate for County Divisional Seat- Knebworth & Codicote in May 2017.
Knebworth proposed changes to timetabling by Govia in 2018, means that Knebworth will lose Fast and Semi Fast trains, since these will stop at Welwyn North instead. Knebworth passengers number has risen 77% over the last 10 years much faster that Welwyn North at 41%. Also at Welwyn North there is only twin rails and every train that stops there has the potential to disrupt fast intercity services. Knebworth is likely to grow by 31%, as a result of the emerging NHDC Local Plan, which will increase considerably the demand for fast rail services. I will post more about these subjects and how you can make your views known soon. I therefore has fully support the campaign to stop these proposed changes and I am helping at Knebworth Station at 06:00 today and 06:00 on Thursday to distribute leaflets and let everyone know about the proposed changes and what commuters can do to flight this ill thought out change. Terry.
